About GreenHeights Development - Tampa Bay Affordable Green Home Builders

GreenHeights is the brainchild of Cathy Byrd, a Florida-Certified General Contractor who founded Innovative Restorations in 2000. Cathy's passion for preservation has been evident in past renovation projects for landmark structures such as London's Victoria and Albert Hall, the Bartow Courthouse and the Belleview Biltmore Hotel, as well as numerous private residences worthy of a place on Historic Register. This same quest for comfort, recycling materials, and keeping neighborhoods as intact as originally intended was the same zeal behind the creation of GreenHeights Development.

Currently, Cathy serves on The City of Tampa's Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. GreenHeights is one of only three for-profit companies chosen to participate in the City's infill development program, due to her innovative green building methods and 90-day construction timeframe for homes that are energy efficient, wind resistant up to 150 mph, and affordably priced homes from $165,000. Cathy's green homes are Certified Green by the Florida Green Building Coalition, meaning they meet the criteria for energy, water, solar, site, and material conservation and efficiency.
